THE SOUTHEAST ASIA CORNER IN BUENOS AIRES

In one Palermo corner dating back from the early century, Sudestada Restaurant opened in 1999.
Covered by white tongue-and-groove and plain and current decorations, designer Horacio Gallo created a luminous environment that combines classic architecture from del Plata delta and western simplicity. It is full of white and black contrasts and through its glassed-facade, a blade clock, the restaurant icon, may be appreciated.
The dining-room and counter staff is dressed by Pablo Ramirez based on the restaurant colors.
Sudestada is a benchmark for the Southeast Asian cuisine in Buenos Aires.
It offers intense flavors, different types of cooking and avant-garde gastronomy. Its menu offers dishes from a wide range of origins: Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam and Cambodia, among others. In the open view kitchen, dishes are prepared with top quality meat, like buffalo meat, fresh herbs and fish.
To achieve this required authenticity, we purchase from different suppliers, like the Cambodian colony settled in Misiones, Vietnam supplies through the Vietnam Embassy and other products from the Formosa forests.
The Sudestada success in Buenos Aires made its founders Estanislao Carenzo and Pablo Giudice to migrate to Spain to open up another gastronomic business, which has already opened two branches in Madrid.
Santiago Garat and Leonardo Azulay are the Sudestada Buenos Aires managers; the menu is dynamically changed to permanently introduce new dishes.
